A favourite archive bridal image shot by Mariano Vivanco in the late 1990’s.
I have alway loved bias cutting with its fluidity and liquid movement. The fabric was a heavy metallic tissue crepe in a soft gold. Looking back into my bridal collection there are amazing treasures. My first bridal campaign with Mariano Vivanco, the young photographer at the start of his career, and Katia our model. A simple black wedding dress, stretch bustier with silk organza overlay skirt printed by The Front Room. We had such a different approach with a very romantic natural feel. The images are still so beautiful and contemporary today.

A wonderful celebration for Else Groen, lunch with her family and friends to celebrate this beautiful, elegant Dutch woman, who was a Resistance soldier during the war, facing death, starvation and losing many of her family. Else modelled for me as I was establishing my brand, an older model who we all loved, with her style and mystery. Fashion Quarterly’s issue in 1999, celebrating Age chose Else for the cover in Liz Mitchell.
