Did you know, people with diabetes are twice as likely to develop cataracts or glaucoma?

They also tend to develop cataracts younger, and may have them progress faster.

Changes in blood glucose levels over time can lead to structural changes in the eye, which can lead to the development of cataracts. Meaning those with diabetes are at higher risk of developing them.

PREVENTING EYE DAMAGE
While there are treatments for both cataracts and glaucoma, prevention is the most effective way to protect your sight.
🔹Maintain healthy blood glucose levels
🔹Maintain a healthy blood pressure (high blood pressure contributes to eye problems)
🔹Regular full diabetes eye checks
