Each week, I spend time mentoring the osteopaths I work with. We believe that ongoing professional development requires reflective practice—continually asking ourselves: Where are my areas of weakness? What knowledge am I missing? Which research papers do I need to read?
Janice Huang, Olivia Wells, and Greg Fitchew all understand that each of us has our own strengths and weaknesses. By working together, we keep one another up to date with changes in the management of various conditions, as well as new research and insights that may improve the way we approach a particular presentation.
Every mentoring session leaves us with more questions to explore and research before we meet again, and that curiosity is an important part of our continued growth.
I am incredibly grateful for my team and the thoughtful questions they bring forward. Each one has helped me grow, not only as a practitioner but also as a mentor to those around me.

Over the years, I've had the privilege of treating many children who now come back as adults and now I'm meeting their own children. It's one of those things that really puts into perspective how long we've been part of our community.
At our clinic, we love looking after the whole family, whatever age or stage of life they're in. Seeing generations of families return, isn't something we expect or take for granted. It's a reflection of the trust you've placed in us over the years, and we're genuinely grateful for it.
Thank you to everyone who has chosen us to be part of your family's healthcare journey.

One of the things we hear most from new patients is:
"I finally feel like someone listened."
Unfortunately, many people leave healthcare appointments feeling unheard.
Their symptoms don't quite fit a diagnosis, they're told everything looks "normal," or they're left feeling that their concerns have been brushed aside.
The human body is rarely that simple.
At Stillpoint Osteopaths, we believe curiosity matters.
When something doesn't make sense, we don't stop asking questions. We stay curious about why you're experiencing a symptom, what we're feeling through our hands, and how different parts of the body may be connected.
We don't always have all the answers and we're honest about that. But we do believe that being listened to, being taken seriously, and looking at the whole picture often leads to a better understanding of what's going on.
If you're looking for healthcare that takes the time to understand your story, we'd love to help.

This weekend I'm excited to be supporting one of my mentors, Julie Fendall, as she teaches a course on how osteopathy can support mothers throughout pregnancy.
I'm also incredibly grateful that two of our team, Janice Huang and Olivia Wells, continue to prioritise their professional development and will be attending the course alongside me. We believe that ongoing learning helps us provide the very best care for our patients.
Pregnancy can highlight pre-existing strains and imbalances in the body, turning what should be an exciting journey into months of discomfort. Lower back pain, pelvic pain, indigestion, difficulty breathing, disrupted sleep, the list can be long.
What many people don't realise is that some of these symptoms may be influenced by restrictions in the spine, tension through the muscles and connective tissues, or a nervous system working overtime to adapt to the many changes pregnancy brings.
Osteopathic treatment aims to gently improve movement, reduce tension, and support your body's natural ability to adapt as your baby grows. By helping the body move more freely, we can also help prepare it for the physical demands of labour and birth.
Every pregnancy is different, but you don't have to simply "put up with" discomfort. If you're expecting and wondering whether osteopathy could help, we'd love to support you. Call Stillpoint Osteopaths.
