Calif. oil spill spreads to 9 miles of coast - World - NZ Herald Videos An oil spill from a ruptured onshore pipeline that fouled beaches and threatened wildlife along a scenic stretch of the California coast spread across 9 miles of ocean.
There have been a lot of uneducated comments along the lines of "There should have been a plan in place". 10 seconds on Google and you find Bay Of Plenty's Tier II Oil Spill Response Plan.
