Sixty years ago today, 29 lives lost when Kaitawa ZMVC went down.

1966: Collier MV Kaitawa sinks near Cape Reinga | Maritime Radio MV Kaitawa was a 2485 ton collier owned by the Union Steam Ship Company. She was lost with all 29 crew on 23 May 1966, near Cape Reinga.

The Annual General Meeting of MPRG, which was scheduled for this Sunday, has been postpone to 17 May due to Cyclone Vaianu.
