Projects at home | Scrunchie | Have a look at today’s story for a little something to keep you busy today.

You will need
+ Cardboard pattern 16cm x 62cm
+ Fabric scissors
+ 15cm elastic
+ Fabric
+ Tailors chalk (or pencil)
+ Safety Pin

1 Trace the pattern onto your fabric and cut.
2 Fold the fabric in half and stitch the long sides together, with the good sides on the inside. Use a 6mm seam allowance and leave 2cm at each end.
3 Turn out the right way, then stitch the ends together. Be careful here not to catch any of the underneath layers in the stitching.
4 Thread the elastic through using a safety pin, then tie the ends of the elastic into a knot.
5 Edgestitch up the gap, then continue the edgestitching all the way around, rolling the seam between your fingers so it sits flat.

FIN 🤍

While the rest of our workroom has closed, we will still be making and sending these face masks from our home. These masks come in four sizes - kids 3-7, kids 7-12, women’s and men’s. They are made from two layers of cotton t-shirting, with two layers of spun bonded polypropylene inside for extra protection. For those small ones who might not understand, they are a good safeguard to keep fingers out of mouths when out and about 🧡 Please email [email protected] if you wish to order. @ Auckland, New Zealand
