What a wonderful way to finish Samoa Language Week at Wēteri.

Today we gathered as a school community for a special assembly celebrating Samoan language, culture and identity. We were privileged to welcome Julia Arnott-Neenee and Eteroa Lafaele from Fibre Fale, who shared their stories, experiences and insights with our students. Their messages were inspiring, thought-provoking and engaging, and we are grateful for the gift of copies of Eteroa's book, "Ete Fixes The Glitch".

We were also treated to performances from our WCC students, whose confidence and pride shone through, and it was lovely to have so many whānau join us for the occasion.

Fa'afetai tele lava to everyone who helped make this week such a success. It has been a celebration of language, culture, belonging and community, and a fitting end to a fantastic Samoa Language Week.

A rainy day did not stop us having fun yesterday. We all slept so well last night. The sun is back and we are into our last day of activities.
