THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
10 JULY 2026

"Do not grieve that the Lord is testing you and putting you to the ordeal of undergoing them. For it is only when you are tested that you can assure yourself of success or become aware of your limitations. You can then concentrate on the subjects in which you are deficient and pay more intensive attention, so that you can pass in them too, when tested again. Many grieve: “It is said darshanam papanashanam (the holy vision of the deity leads to destruction of sin); well, I have had darshan not once but many times, yet, my evil fate has not left me and I am suffering even more than formerly.” True, they have come and have had darshan and they have sown fresh seeds secured from this place, seeds of Prema (Love), Shraddha (Faith), Bhakti (Devotion), Satsanga (Good company), Sarveshwara-chinta (Thoughts of God), Namasmarana (Remembering God’s Name), etc., and they have learnt the art of intensive cultivation and soil-preparation. They have now sown the seeds in the well-prepared fields of the cleansed hearts. Now, until the new harvest comes in, they have to consume the grain already stored in previous harvests. The troubles and anxieties are the crop collected in previous harvests; so do not grieve, and lose heart."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
9 July 2026

"If you mix sugar with the wheat flour or the rice flour and prepare some kind of sweet, you will get the sweet taste of such a preparation in your mouth. Although there is no inherent sweetness in either the rice or the wheat, the sugar gives the sweetness. In the same manner, when Vishnutvam (Omnipresence of Divinity) is contemplated as being present even in a lifeless thing, even that thing appears to us as a divine entity filled with that sweetness. Although the sweets which we prepare and eat have many different forms and names, the fact is that all of them contain one common thing, and that is sugar. So too, we must also realise that in this world, while there are so many individuals with different forms and names, the one common thing that is present in all of them is this Vishnutvam or the omnipresent Atma. This principle is the reason individuals have love for each other, and there are various forms of relationships and affection between people. It is necessary for every individual to recognise the sweetness of this principle of divine omnipresence in all. You should realise this by your own effort, or by listening to what the elders tell you, or by having darshana, sparshana, and sambhashana, i.e. by seeing, touching, and hearing great people."

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY 6 July 2026

What is the goal of all the spiritual exercises we undertake with this physical body? Bhagawan lovingly guides us today!

Always think that God is present in this temple of body, and whatever you do is an offering to Him. It is only when you develop such sacred feelings will your body and the antahkarana (inner instruments) be sanctified. Therefore, transform your dehabhimana (body attachment) into Atmabhimana (attachment to the Self). This is the real sadhana. Without developing Atmabhimana, there is no point in doing any other sadhana. People say, we are doing bhajans. Till you attain the state of Atmabhimana, all such spiritual practices are essential. When you plant a sapling of a good-quality mango tree, after some time, it gives unripe mangoes. So long as the mangoes are not ripe, they taste sour. Only when they become ripe do they become sweet and tasty. Likewise, when you attain the ripe stage in your sadhana, you develop Atmic feelings. Till you attain such a state of blessedness, continue to discharge your duties without forgetting your goal. Always remind yourself that you have to reach this goal. Gradually, detach yourself from the body and develop attachment to the Self. Only then can you experience eternal bliss. Pursue this path of truth and wisdom and immerse yourself in divine bliss.
