Reserve Bank cuts Official Cash Rate by 25 basis points to 3.5% RBNZ says it has scope to lower OCR further as effect of US tariffs become clearer.

As expected, the Reserve Bank has cut the Official Cash Rate to 4.25%

Personally, we love the idea, as it opens up networking opportunities amongst our client base and that’s something we want to foster throughout 2023, in addition to providing you with timely, informed advice during these often uncertain times.

“Hold on tight” is the overriding message through 2023. As we all know, smart home buyers/investors have their investment strategies lined up and ready to pounce as a market flattens. My advice is, always leave something in for the next guy but also factor in potential downside if you’re looking to buy during these times. “Get in touch with your reality” is another theme Neil will be promoting to help people adjust and make sound financial plans for their future using real, down to earth advice, as always.
