1,500 signatures!
What started as a conversation has become a movement. Together, we have made our voices loud, clear, and impossible to ignore. The decision-makers are taking notice, and that is entirely because of the incredible support from this community.
But we're not done yet.
Momentum is everything, and now is not the time to slow down. We genuinely believe we can reach 2,000 signatures, but we need your help to get there.
If you have already signed, please consider sharing the petition with your friends, family, bird clubs, poultry groups, veterinary colleagues, and anyone who believes birds deserve access to quality veterinary care.
This petition calls for a reconsideration of the Veterinary Council's interpretation of the new Code of Professional Conduct, which threatens the future of avian telemedicine in New Zealand and could significantly reduce access to veterinary care for birds, particularly poultry and those in rural areas.
Every signature matters.
Every share helps.
Every voice counts.
Let's keep going and show just how much this community cares.

Thankyou SO much Papakura Local Board for the Community Volunteer Appreciation certificate under the Environment category. It’s incredibly special to be recognized by the board and community who have supported my work so much, and have the chance to catch up with colleagues old and new alike within the community.
It was very overwhelming going first, meeting new people and hearing so many kind words about me but such a wholesome occasion.
I don’t do it for the horn tooting, but it was so lovely to be recognized anyway. 🥰🌿
Seeing your cat at 🤷🏼♀️ 🐅
So I’m a kitty whisperer even for big cats apparently…
I had the most crazy experience where the big beautiful boy walked over and flopped down in front of me and locked eyes with me… and slow blinked me 😳
Then about 20 minutes later the 2 girls did the same thing! Ignored a window-full of people and chose where I was sitting on the ground. I got more slow blinks… which is more than the toddler who one of the girls was “eyeing up” could say hehe.
Irrefutable proof that cats know cat people 😂

ABUNDANCE. 🌿
Nature is full of abundance, and in the last few months every time we’ve been out trapping we’ve stumbled across food - purely by accident.
That choko vine growing in a local park, lemons rolled completely away from the fence they fell over, nut trees on public land, and surrounded by natives.
It’s like a quiet but intentional thankyou from Mother Nature herself.
Thanking us for pulling out pest plant seedlings as we service traps, reduce predators, and problem solve whilst we walk.
Thanking us for showing up, doing what we can, and caring enough.
Thanking us for being there.
It’s a beautiful little circular symbiotic relationship and it ensures some of the spare food of the world gets used up! No waste!
Or it’s just foraging and I’m romanticizing it 😂
