👋 Wave goodbye to Z-Wave.
At this year’s IFA tech show, Aeotec announced the launch of its Smart Home Hub 2, built in partnership with Samsung. This fourth-generation hub continues to support the SmartThings platform but marks a big change — it’s the first version without a Z-Wave radio.
This signals the end of an era for Z-Wave and the start of a new direction in smart home connectivity. With Matter and other emerging standards gaining traction, the smart home ecosystem is evolving faster than ever.
