With it being prize giving tonight seemed rude not to go for a lap and see the awesome progress being made at Prestige Pools Waikaraka Family Speedway.

Considering the weather there has been a heap of progress!!!

Practice is 119 days and we can’t wait to pull up and go for a hoon!

Well we had the 290s 2.0 last night, What fun it was!

I had a real simple plan, with a racing trophy and stirrers trophy up for grabs it was win the first two races and then destroy everything in the third. Easy right.

First race I left from pole and head the lead for the first 9 laps before bowling a wide and letting Corry through, we were hard fast racing the whole race and with me getting use to the JAAAAAAAG I was happy(ish).

Second race I started 7th, made it to 4th in a couple of laps, got crossed up and got finished off by the car behind which sometimes you just have to go through to not undo your own race, I raced on in 9th and with the field flying sadly I caught no one and that's where I finished.

6th in points, the 290s option wasn't there any more, but I'm getting better at the stirrers thing and the Jag is the machine to do it in. I had a plan but as always its a flexible plan.

We started 12th (last) and the fastest way to the cars at the front of the pack and top of the points is get them to come around to you, Field took off and I crawled away to the pole line and waited for my friends, after a couple of goes at it, I got my timing and became a problem for the one who wanted it least and who ever else I could of but mainly looking to change the result (Stir the pot), only to spend the last couple of laps sitting middle of the track as a dead duck. I made it exciting and caused a run off so it worked out well, Hoping all while I had done enough to lift the Geoff Evans Memorial Shield.

My favorite part of the whole night for me was Corry driving up to the window whilst still on track to shake my hand then pushing me back to the pits. That's why we love it.

Congrats to the Lads, Corry for the big W, Logan on the second and Luke on not only his first heat win in the class but also taking home 3rd for the night.

Thanks to our crew that turn up rain or shine and are always ready to get to work, To my Mum for her forever support and as always our Captain (Shane) for the use of his cars.

Your s**t grinning stirrer
Rory!
My first trophy in three years, and its for being an as***le, seems fitting🤣
