We are writing this to thank the New Build Team, specifically Karen, who has been with us throughout our building journey, and even on the day we moved in, and still alongside us, with guidance, advice, and encouragement.

Being new to the housing market in NZ, and building our first NZ home, we had no idea how it operated, how to arrange finance, Kiwi Saver etc. Coming from South Africa, where it is totally different, this was totally a new thing for us. All the staff at New Build are organized, capable and approachable, initially Douglas who collated the paperwork, evidence etc., then to Monica and Karen, all of it was smooth sailing, and fast. Whilst our house was being built, we were kept informed along the way, and knew exactly how things were progressing, how the finance looked and kept in the loop.

What stands out is Karen’s knowledge of the markets, the process, and most importantly her genuine caring nature, she was excited for our adventure of building a Home, and would check in, I would share photos of the progress, and then once we had moved in she gave a little while, and rung us up to discuss the mortgage and the way forward, and 6 months later rung again to check in. Karen is approachable and we’ve never felt that we are asking a silly question. When you ring her or send through an email, you get a response pretty much straight away, which is proof of her passion for her job.

We know and trust Karen and the New Build Team, that they will always be available when we need assistance, and do genuinely care about their clients, you are not just a client number to them.
I have and would recommend New Build to anyone looking to build a home, as the statement on their website states:
