Celebrating Change.
It’s not every day you get invited into a space to podcast with traditional institutes like Te Hahi Mihinare ki Aotearoa ki Niu Tireni, Ki Nga Moutere Nui a Kiwa - The Anglican Church in Aotearoa, New Zealand, and Polynesia.
But today wasn’t an everyday kind of day.
Podcasting fits in all spaces - especially for those looking to modernise the way they connect with their people. The conversations we recorded today celebrated the past, acknowledged areas where change is needed, and laid out a pathway forward.
And here’s the thing - regardless of your religious beliefs, speaking together creates connection. And that connection? It helps move things forward. There’s power in the spoken word. It’s how we passed down knowledge before we ever wrote things down, so there’s something special about honouring that tradition while using it to help shape the future.
More kĹŤrero.
More connection.
More impact.

Unlocking Podcasting Secrets with Craig Sutherland
Did you know that if you’ve recorded more than three podcasts, you’re already in the top 80-90% of podcasters worldwide? Most never make it past that point.
So, when I sat down with Craig Sutherland, who’s up to episode 8 or 9, I had to ask—what are the deeper insights he’s taking away from this journey?
Craig was introduced to Campfire Studios through none other than Dai Henwood, a legend in NZ comedy and entertainment. Dai had worked with us before, and when Craig was looking for advice on podcasting, the connection was made.
At first, podcasting was just about educating people on insurance. But something shifted.
"I was a little nervous at the start because it’s different from just filming a quick video on your phone. But once I started talking, the cameras disappeared—it became about the conversation."
His most recent guest? Sean, a refugee from Iran, now one of NZ’s top barbers.
"He’s one of the most lovely guys. Being able to talk to people like that, hearing their stories—it’s become less about just sharing knowledge and more about real, deep conversations."
Craig also found something unexpected:
"I ended up talking about things even my close mates don’t know about me. But I felt comfortable because of the environment you guys created."
That’s the magic of podcasting. It’s not about perfect production or viral clips—it’s about real conversations in a safe space.
Craig, you might look like an influencer, but you talk like a philosopher, and that’s why this works.
Your voice is enough.
Your story is enough.
Time to hit record? We are ready when you are.
Build it, and they will come.
That’s what Luke and Mikey have been doing for years now - building the content that connects. And now, they’ve built a podcast studio to scale that connection.
When Luke gave me a bell to chat about his podcast, my message was simple - If you want it to look a million dollars, then pay us a million dollars…
Just kidding.
But the real talk - spend the money on the cameras and studio so it looks like a million dollars.
Luke spent the money where it counts - on the gear. Now the rest is easy.
Hit record.
Create content that connects.
This video is the behind-the-scenes with Mikey in the hot seat. Can’t wait to see the final look.
If you’re thinking about building a state-of-the-art studio at your workplace, the time to connect is now. Bring your content in-house with Campfire Studios.
