Achieving Quality Is A Process 10/03/2022

On The Blog:

Achieving quality is so often looked upon as an outcome - a lofty target rendering it unattainable not just in action but also in thought. NZQC Celebrates World Engineering Day - For Sustainable Development

World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development was proclaimed by UNESCO at its 40th General Conference in 2019. It is celebrated worldwide on 4th March as an international day of celebration of engineers and engineering.

The day offers the opportunity to highlight engineers and engineering's achievements in our modern world and improve public understanding of how engineering and technology are central to modern-day life and for sustainable development. The celebration of World Engineering Day is an opportunity to promote engineering as a career and highlighting how engineering can change the world for better. It's an opportunity to engage with government and industry to address the need for engineering capacity and the quality of engineers around the world and develop strategic frameworks and best practices for the implementation of engineering solutions for sustainable development.

NZQC recognises the important role engineering plays in the quality standards currently employed within New Zealand, as well as worldwide, and values its contribution in providing organisations within the engineering sector the opportunity to learn and develop quality management skills that can be utilised across a wide spectrum of specialities.
