MaPINO Study

We are actively recruiting pregnant ladies of any gestation with psoriasis to be part of our nationwide observational study.

You may need to see a dermatologist at a regional centre to confirm your diagnosis of psoriasis, and there are a couple of online health questionnnaires to complete. Your child will have a full developmental assessment at two years of age in a regional centre.

ARE YOU PREGNANT- or know someone that is?

I'm a mum and the research coordinator for the MaPINO Study being run by Starship Hospital and the University of Auckland.

We are actively recruiting pregnant ladies of any gestation to be part of our observational study.

Must be located within easy reach of Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga, Wellington or Christchurch.

You will need to complete an online health questionnnaire and then bring your child into your regional centre when they are 2 years of age.

We have a 2nd part to the study if you have Psoriasis, where we can get you to see a Dermatologist for skin assessment and there are a couple of additional questionnaires to complete.

💥If you have psoriasis and are pregnant, we invite you to take part in our study investigating psoriasis in pregnancy.

The study involves:
- specialist diagnosis of psoriasis if needed
- dedicated surveillance of psoriasis
- a comprehensive developmental assessment for each child at two years of age
- reimbursement of parking and travel expenses for the developmental assessment
- a small gift to say thank you.
