BE, DO, HAVE - In the workplace, the "Be, Do, Have" model can be a powerful framework for personal and professional development. I work with my clients to explore how they can apply this model to their work and their every day living.

Here's how you can apply it:

Be: Start by defining the type of person you want to be in the workplace. This involves cultivating certain character traits, attitudes, and mindsets. For example, you might want to be known as someone who is reliable, innovative, collaborative, or a strong leader. Take time to reflect on your values and how you want to show up in your work environment.

Do: Once you have a clear vision of who you want to be, focus on the actions you need to take to embody those qualities. This involves not just what you do in terms of tasks and responsibilities, but also how you interact with others, approach challenges, and contribute to the overall goals of the organization. Set specific goals and develop action plans to help you consistently demonstrate the behaviors associated with your desired identity.

Have: The "Have" part of the model represents the outcomes or rewards that come as a result of being and doing. In the workplace, this could include achieving career advancement, earning recognition and respect from colleagues, gaining opportunities for growth and development, or experiencing a sense of fulfillment and satisfaction in your work. By focusing on being the person you want to be and doing what is necessary to align with that identity, you increase your chances of realising the outcomes you desire.

For example, let's say you want to be known as a collaborative team player in your workplace:

Be: Cultivate qualities such as empathy, open-mindedness, and a willingness to listen and compromise.
Do: Actively seek out opportunities to collaborate with colleagues on projects, offer support and assistance, and contribute ideas in team meetings.
Have: As a result of being collaborative, you may find that you build stronger relationships with your colleagues, receive more support and assistance when needed, and are seen as a valuable member of the team, leading to potential career advancement opportunities.

By consciously applying the "Be, Do, Have" model in the workplace, you can work towards becoming the best version of yourself while also achieving your professional goals.

This is all about boundaries, your boundaries.

Boundaries indicate where I start and finish and you begin.

They let people know how to be around you, what you accept and what is not ok.

For the most part you don't have to make this explicit, people who know you 'know your boundaries'

There are times when people in our lives don't know our boundaries, they either choose to ignore them, or just can't 'read-the-moment' and this is where you need to state what is ok and what is not, we need to do this for our own protection.

🫤 How do you manage your boundaries?

🫤 Do you abandon your own boundaries or do other people do that to you?

😐 Would you like to know more about setting you own boundaries, and doing this with confidence.

🙂 Contact me and lets see if I can help you.
