π’ Accredited Employer Work Visas (AEWVs) Update from Immigration New Zealand π³πΏ
Starting 1 June 2026, minimum English language requirements will apply to AEWV Skill Level 3 roles under ANZSCO & NOL occupations.

Minimum English requirement:
β’ IELTS overall score of 4.0, or
β’ Approved equivalent English test
π Key Updates:
β’ Applies to new AEWV applications lodged from 1 June 2026
β’ AEWV holders whose visas expire on or before 1 December 2026 may be exempt when applying for the balance of their maximum continuous stay
β’ Applicants who previously submitted accepted English evidence may not need to provide it again
β’ Global Workforce Seasonal Visa and Peak Seasonal Visa AEWV applications are exempt
