With 3 public roads and numerous laneways, there’s a lot of kerbing being laid to build the village and Selo (almost 4km worth!), and we’re not cutting any corners!

Instead of laying individual kerb stones along these roads, we’ve gone the extra mile to have continuous, concrete kerbing that is mixed, poured and shaped onsite, so corners and curves are smooth and in one piece. Not only is it a step-up in style, it’s also a lot more durable.

When Chancellor Construction Limited told us that they had started cladding on the homes at Selo, we just had to go to the site to see it for ourselves. The roof installation is regarded as the first significant milestone, but seeing the brick cladding for the first time was an even bigger deal for us. Some of us may have even stroked the bricks lovingly (we’re not saying who). 🧱🧡

Throughout Selo we have used five different shades of brick so that within terraces, the homes have their own individual style.

We are blown away by the progress that Chancellor Construction makes every week. Just 11 weeks in, they are already ahead of schedule, and they’re on target to have the first homes completed as soon as the end of this year!
