Still Looking for Their Forever Homes 🏡🐾
A few months ago, Puntu came to us as a rescue after concerns about her swollen belly. That same night, she gave birth to 8 beautiful puppies under our care. Thanks to love, safety, and proper care, they’ve grown into healthy, playful, and affectionate little companions.
Out of her beautiful puppies, 4 have already been adopted into wonderful families. We are now looking for good homes for the remaining 4 puppies- 1 male, 3 females.
As much as we care for them, staying long-term in a rescue environment can increase their risk of infections and stress, especially as they grow older. These puppies have grown up surrounded by care and human affection, and we hope to find families who will continue giving them the love and protection they deserve. They are active, friendly, and at the perfect age to bond with their future families.
To support responsible adoption, HART will provide:
🐾 Free anti-rabies vaccination
🐾 Free sterilization at the appropriate age
If you’re looking to welcome a furry friend into your life, one of these little souls may be waiting just for you.

PILOT DOG STERILISATION PROGRAM IN LALJHARI RURAL MUNICIPALITY – KANCHANPUR DISTRICT
A pilot dog sterilization program was successfully conducted in Laljhadi Rural Municipality, Kanchanpur district.
The veterinary section of Laljhadi Rural Municipality kindly arranged a room and working space at the hall of Anmol Agriculture Cooperative Society Limited, which also serves as a community seed bank for local farming. This space became our base for the program.
A total of 103 dogs were sterilized, vaccinated, and safely returned to their respective locations.
Overall, the condition of the dogs was good. Only a small percentage showed signs of mange, while the majority were in good health with satisfactory body condition scores.
At present, Laljhadi Rural Municipality does not have a dedicated budget for dog sterilization. However, there is a growing realization of the importance of such programs. A common concern raised by the community is the increasing number of free-roaming dogs forming packs, which at times attack baby goats and prey on chickens.
We would like to thank Bird Conservation Nepal (BCN) for facilitating this program in the area. While the broader mission is to support vulture conservation, dog population management clearly has far-reaching impacts across multiple dimensions livelihoods, community safety, and ecosystem balance.
The team now moves on to Belauri, aiming to sterilize another century of dogs.
Please stay tuned for further updates.
With gratitude,
