समता फाउण्डेशनले दलित सांसद मञ्चको सहकार्यमा २०८२ चैत्र १४ गतेका दिन दलित समुदायबाट संघीय संसद्मा निर्वाचित हुन सफल हुनु भएका सांसदज्यूहरू एवम् पूर्व मन्त्री डा. मदन प्रसाद परियारज्यूलाई सम्मान तथा परिचयात्मक कार्यक्रम सम्पन्न गरेको छ ।
उक्त कार्यक्रममा उपस्थित भई सम्मान ग्रहण गरिदिनु भएकोमा प्रतिनिधि सभा तथा राष्ट्रिय सभाका नवनिवाचित सांसदज्यूहरूलाई धन्यवाद तथा सफल कार्यकालको शुभकामना व्यक्ति गर्दछौं । साथै, पूर्व मन्त्रीज्यूप्रति आभारी छौं ।

"Intellectual Discourse with Scholars and Academicians in Nepal"

Samata Foundation hosted an intellectual discourse: “Constructive Roles of Scholars for the Dalit Movement and Emancipation” recently. Dr. Rajesh Sampath, Associate Professor of the Philosophy of Justice, Rights, and Social Change at Brandeis University, gave a speech on the topic on 9th January 2026 in Kathmandu. The event was attended by scholars and academicians from various sectors.
Dr. Rajesh Sampath’s lecture focused on the constructive roles of scholars for the Dalit movement and emancipation, underscoring how academic work can contribute meaningfully to Dalit community.

Dr. Sampath elaborated on how philosophy, critical theory, and interdisciplinary scholarship can challenge caste-based oppression, expose structural injustice, and support emancipatory movements. He emphasized the responsibility of scholars not only to produce knowledge, but also to remain responsible to marginalized communities. Drawing from great movements on racial, caste and exclusion he linked Dalit struggles in Nepal and South Asia with global context. The presentation encouraged scholars from Dalit and non-Dalit communities to critically engage for knowledge production, and to assert Dalit perspectives in national and international discourses, as well as within academic spaces.
