About the Picture: “This photo was taken by me at MAV School in Satdobato, Lalitpur. From my school window, I often noticed this owl perched on a tree. I am undergoing treatment as an inpatient at a therapy center. One day, I spotted this beautiful owl again and captured it through my window. Whenever I feel bored, I grab my camera and photograph the birds around the therapy center, finding solace in these moments. I have a deep passion for wildlife photography, but as someone with a partial disability, I’m unable to give it my full effort. Despite this, I still find joy in capturing the beauty of nature whenever I can.”

Nepalese Youth for Climate Action (NYCA) brings you "Show Your Love", a photography competition to mark Valentine’s Week. This is more than just a contest, it’s a call to reflect on the beauty we cherish and the growing threats posed by the climate crisis.
Why this competition?
The impacts of climate change are becoming more visible every day, threatening the places, people, and things we love. Through this competition, we want to raise awareness about what’s at stake and inspire action to protect our planet.
Submission Deadline: 12th February, 5:00 PM NPT
Eligibility: Open to everyone!
What to Submit: A photograph of something you love and fear losing due to the effects of climate change.
Evaluation Criteria:
25%: Based on likes, shares, and comments on the original post on NYCA’s page.
75%: Judged by an expert panel, with priority given to creative and meaningful photographs.
Prizes:
Cash prizes for 3 winners
Opportunity to be featured in Sano Paila Volume -8, NYCA's e-zine.
