📢 Important Notice for Student Visa Applicants (South Korea) 🇰🇷

The Embassy of the Republic of Korea has announced a mandatory requirement regarding academic documents for student visa applications.

🔴 Key Update:
Graduation Certificate is now COMPULSORY if more than 1 year has passed since graduation.
Provisional Certificate will NOT be accepted after one year.

Within 1 year of graduation, provisional certificates may be accepted based on issuance date.

📅 Effective From: May 11, 2026

📌 Applicants must submit:
✔️ Consular verified academic documents
✔️ Valid graduation certificate (as per eligibility)

⚠️ Important Warning:
Submission of forged or altered documents may result in a minimum 3-year visa ban.

From mid-2026, IELTS will no longer be offered as a paper-based test. All IELTS tests will be delivered on computer, giving test takers faster results, more convenience, and access to One Skill Retake.

✨ But here’s the good news:
In selected markets, IELTS will introduce “Writing on Paper” – allowing candidates to handwrite their answers for the Writing section while completing the rest of the test on computer.

✅ Scores remain fully valid and comparable across formats.
✅ Institutions worldwide will continue to trust IELTS results.
✅ One Skill Retake is available for Writing on Paper (must match the original test mode).
✅ Access Arrangements (large print, braille, lip reading, etc.) remain unchanged.

📌 Important: For UK Visas & Immigration (UKVI), IELTS will only be available in the fully digital format.
