The Gokyo Lake Trek is a stunning, less-crowded alternative to Everest Base Camp in Nepal’s Khumbu region, famous for its turquoise lakes, views of Everest, Cho Oyu, Makalu, Lhotse, and the Ngozumpa Glacier, offering a moderate, physically demanding trek through Sherpa villages with required high-altitude insurance. Trekkers usually fly to Lukla, walk through Namche Bazaar, and ascend the Dudh Koshi Valley to Gokyo village (around 4700m) to witness the sacred Gokyo Lakes and the panoramic vista from Gokyo Ri (5357m)

ITINERARY-:

Day(1) Flight to Lukla 2840m, from Kathmandu 1350m, and trek to Phakding 2610m, 3/4 hrs
Day(2) Trek to Namche Bazaar 3440m, 6/7 hrs
Day(3) Acclimatizing day, hike up to Everest view hotel 3880m, and back to Namche 4/5 hrs
Day(4) Trek to Dole 4038m, 5/6 hrs
Day(5) Trek to Machherma 4470m, 5/6 hrs
Day(6) Trek to Gokyo lake 4790, 5/6 hrs, visit around lake and glacier
Day(7) Early in the morning hike up to Gokyo-Ri view point 5360m, back to Gokyo and trek to Machherma 4470m, 6/7 hrs
Day(8) Trek down to Namche Bazaar 3440m, 6/7 hrs
Day(9) Trek to Lukla 2840m, 6/7 hrs
Day(10) Flight back to Kathmandu, transfer to hotel
