Strengthening local mental health services through continuous clinical supervision.

Under the Strengthening and Expanding Mental Health Care Project in Nepal, clinical supervision sessions for prescribers were conducted at Marin Rural Municipality on 29th April 2026 and Hariharpurgadhi Rural Municipality on 1st May 2026. A total of 25 health workers received clinical supervision across both municipalities. Additionally, 18 complex clinical cases brought by health workers were reviewed and discussed to strengthen case management and quality mental health care service delivery at the community level.

TPO Nepal, in collaboration with Likhu Rural Municipality and Champadevi Rural Municipality, conducted a one-day clinical supervision and refresher training for prescribers on 22 and 24 March 2026 under the PSR Finland ()-funded “Strengthening and Expanding Mental Health Care in Nepal” project.

A psychiatrist provided supervision to 29 prescribers, and mental health services were delivered to 44 service users, including support for complex cases.

We appreciate the continued collaboration of both municipalities in strengthening community mental health services.

• व्यक्तिगत तथा समूहगत मनोसामाजिक/मनोवैज्ञानिक सहयोग
• मनोसामाजिक समस्या रोकथाम तथा सचेतनामूलक कार्यक्रम सञ्चालन
• छोटो अवधिका मनोसामाजिक तालिम तथा अभिमूखीकरण सञ्चालन
• सामुदायिक मनोसामाजिक कार्यकर्ताको सुपरिवेक्षण र अनुगमन
• आवश्यक परे विशिष्ट मनोसामाजिक सेवाका लागि सिफारिस
• परियोजना क्षेत्रको नियमित भ्रमण, समन्वय र प्रतिवेदन पेश

• नेपाली नागरिकता भएको महिला
• मनोपरामर्श/मनोविज्ञानमा पोष्ट ग्राजुएट वा स्नातक तह उत्तीर्ण गरी ६ महिने मनोविमर्श तालिम प्राप्त
• समुदायमा काम गर्ने राम्रो क्षमता
• स्थानीय भाषा बोल्न/बुझ्न सक्ने (स्थानीय बासिन्दालाई प्राथमिकता)
• कम्प्युटर सम्बन्धी आधारभूत ज्ञान
• लैंगिक हिंसा तथा बालबालिका/किशोरकिशोरीसँग कम्तीमा १ वर्षको अनुभव भए प्राथमिकता

As the 16 Days of Activism Against Gender-Based Violence (25 November – 10 December 2025) come to a close, TPO Nepal shares key highlights from activities held across Nepal.

Guided by this year’s global theme, ‘UNiTE to End Digital Violence against All Women and Girls’, we worked with communities, partners, and young people to raise awareness, spark dialogue, and strengthen collective action against all forms of GBV, both online and offline.

These activities were conducted nationwide across various locations such as Sindhuli, Okhaldhunga, Dhanusa, Doti, Kalikot, Dailekh, Kathmandu, and other areas across Madhesh, Karnali, Sudurpaschim, and Bagmati Province. Together, we continue the commitment to a safer, more equal future for all.
