The portal created by the Survey Department of Nepal (SDN)facilitates searching and finding geospatial data and associated information services in Nepal. The main mission of this portion is to promote geospatial data sharing in the country. This is also an initiative to create a Metadata and Clearing House Services in Nepal.
User communities could get different geospatial products available at SDN. The official web portal is available at "http://nationalgeoportal.gov.np/"

National Geospatial Portal

This is a historic basic first order control monument, and the base measurement had made to establish a best suite projection system for Nepal. The Everest Spheroid-1830 is the accepted spheroid, and Modified Universal Transverse Mercator( Central Meridian for the zone of 3° of longitude with scale factor of 0.9999) is the adopted projection system in Nepal (1970).
