We have lost a true gem of the Nepal birding community whose contributions to Nepalese ornithology have been immense. I am deeply saddened by Arend van Riessen Dai's sudden demise. His passion and dedication to bird conservation in Nepal will be remembered forever. My deepest and heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved family for their irreparable and immense loss.
