This is the research.
He is Khimlal Gautam, leader of Sagarmatha height measurement team and chief survey officer of Nepal. The increased height of Sagarmatha (8848.86m) officially announced on Mangshir 23rd was based on his team's measurement.
Celebrating the team effort he said: "The work would not have been possible without the whole team, I was just the leader who happened to goal but the ones who passed the ball, who defended were equally important. This is the first time Sagarmatha was measured by Nepali surveyors and I feel extremely happy to have been able to play a role in this."
