Winter is here - and it stretches long at — April and May are the prime time for skiing Mkinvartsveri (Kazbek, 5054 m) and the surrounding 3000–4000 m peaks.

Tusheti, Georgia 🇬🇪, 2014.
A wild project with Tusheti Protected Landscape, exploring the potential for sustainable winter tourism in this magical region. The goal was to help locals remain in Tusheti through the winter and reduce seasonal migration to urban areas.
Although the initiative was well-received by the local population, it was ultimately shelved due to yet another shift in local authorities. Nevertheless, it was an extraordinary trip, filled with generous local support, great ideas, and much laughter.
