BulbiTech
👁️Bulbitech is Heading to Practical Neuro-Ophthalmology 2025 in Zurich🧠
Are you a neuro-ophthalmologist, orthoptist, or neuro-optometrist working to bridge the gap between neurology and ophthalmology and interested in conducting research on our eye-tracking solution?
We’re excited to announce that Bulbitech will be exhibiting as a Silver Sponsor at the Practical Neuro-Ophthalmology 2025, at Schloss Au in Switzerland. (Interdisciplinary Center for Vertigo and Neurological Visual Disorders - Sponsors)
📍 Where: Schloss Au, Switzerland
📅 When: July 4-5, 2025
Let’s connect, collaborate, and innovate together!

❗ We are thrilled to share that Solveig Jacobsen Dalbro has reached a major milestone with her first publication using BulbiCAM in Frontiers in Neurology!
👩🎓 Her study, “Repeatability, reliability, and stability of eye movement measurements in Parkinson’s disease, cerebellar ataxia, and healthy adults,” explores the precision and consistency of eye movement assessments across different neurological conditions.
👁️ Our Fixation test, Pro Saccade, Smooth Pursuit, and Saccade Analysis were all used in this research. Her work sets the stage for upcoming cross-sectional and longitudinal studies we’re excited about.

🎉 Congratulations to Solveig and the entire research team on this exciting achievement! Their contribution to the field of neurological assessment is both valuable and inspiring.

🇮🇹 Are you attending FLORetina in Florence? Then we’ve got some great news!
❗️our CMO Bjørn André Helland-Hansen and CCO Dennis Hens are showcasing our technology at booth #10
👨🎓Bjorn will also present his poster on December 8th. In his clinical trial he found validated biomarkers which are effective in distinguishing early AMD from healthy eyes

➡️ How do we validate our medical device and our tests?
This question is asked a lot, so we decided to explain it in two infographics. Since we transition to a Class IIa medical device under MDR each individual clinical parameter/biomarker measured in both healthy controls and patients include the following key statistical components:
1️⃣ Validiity
2️⃣ Reliability
3️⃣ Reproducibility
4️⃣ Stability
❗These components are important as we need to know how a biomarker can be used, which is crucial for regulatory approval and drives further clinical adoption.
PhD candidates Bjørn André Helland-Hansen, Alexander Sverstad & Solveig Jacobsen Dalbro measured these values in healthy controls and patients with the following 👁️ & 🧠 diseases:
👁️ AMD, Glaucoma, Cataract & Diabetic Retinopathy
🧠 Parkinson's Disease & Ataxia
🔜 the PhD candidates will reveal their findings and publish their clinical validation data. So stay tuned!
