The Norwegian Human Rights Fund

This year’s report highlights the fundamental role solidarity plays in the protection of human rights. For the NHRF, solidarity means building bridges between people, across borders, and finding common ground rooted in shared values. Those bridges have enabled the NHRF to support 153 projects through 131 grantee partners, reaching 9,791 human rights defenders.

These are not just numbers, but individuals whose work, strength, bravery, and unwavering commitment to protecting human rights in a world where respect and funding for human rights is declining, and authoritarianism is rising.

We invite you to stand with us in solidarity with those most affected remain central to the defense of human rights.
