💗⏳ What if a carousel could slow time down?
This winter, artist Carsten Höller brings Pink Mirror Carousel to the ice rink at Kulm Hotel St. Moritz: a fuchsia-pink, mirrored structure that feels less like an amusement ride and more like a perception experiment.
No rush here—one full rotation every two minutes. And the hypnotic twist: the upper part turns one way while the middle section rotates the other, like a poetic clock where you’re simultaneously rider, observer… and reflection against the alpine backdrop.
Höller even describes the ultra-slow spin as a kind of meditative motion. Would you step on?
📍 St. Moritz, Switzerland —
Tell me: are you team speed or team slow?

Charles de Meaux – The Bird From The Future
at TANK Shanghai
TANK Shanghai presents the first solo exhibition in China by French visual artist and filmmaker Charles de Meaux, The Bird From The Future, part of the celebrations marking the 60th anniversary of diplomatic relations between China and France.
At the opening, M. Joan Valadou, Consul General of France in Shanghai, underlined how this project goes beyond a contemporary art exhibition to embody the long-standing cultural friendship and ongoing collaborations between the two countries.
Taking inspiration from Darwin’s finches observed in the Galápagos Islands and drawing on Copernicus climate data collected with Stream Lab in Paris, Charles de Meaux has worked with an AI research laboratory to imagine a bird able to adapt fully to the new conditions brought about by global warming, human activity and habitat transformation.
Together with AI, he generated drawings and sounds for The Bird From The Future; these elements then serve as the basis for animated paintings produced in collaboration with an animation studio and displayed throughout the exhibition.
