Wise Jester

History and reality: It is always great time to be alive!
The computational jester IIB: Life is given to man only once, and, normally, at the most inappropriate moment.

"Many years ago, a student spent a year studying abroad. It was his first time away from home. He barely spoke the language. He had just enough money to get by and no more. Really tired after a long of day of practicing reading English, he walked into an inn and ordered a small meal. He was so exhausted from his studies he started to doze off and accidentally knocked his entire meal on the floor. A young entrepreneur saw the student's plight and told him to order any food he wanted, and he would pay the bill. The young student was delighted and ordered 15 meals at the young entrepreneur's expense. The entrepreneur was astounded as the young student somehow devoured all 15 meals and then proceeded to eat the entire meal that he previously dropped on the floor. The young student told the befuddled entrepreneur that he was destined to go down in history for his generosity, saying they should put his portrait on 100-dollar bills someday. But if they didn't remember him for that, maybe they'd remember him for the stupid glasses with the crack in the middle, or foolishly flying his kite during a thunderstorm.

That young student was me, and that young entrepreneur was Benjamin Franklin. I wonder what ever happened to that guy. Really strange dude."
