Over the past six months, we’ve had the rare privilege of witnessing the Northern Lights dancing above Bergen time and time again.

Each appearance feels just as magical as the first, a quiet reminder of how extraordinary nature can be. Soft waves of green light moving across the night sky, reflected in the fjords and framed by the mountains, create moments that simply can’t be replicated anywhere else.

For our guests, these are not just sightings, they are experiences that stay with you long after you leave.

Bergen may not always promise the Northern Lights, but when they appear, they do so with a kind of elegance and intimacy that feels truly special.

We feel incredibly fortunate to have shared so many of these moments this past season, and we look forward to many more next season.

Driving a dog sled is truly an unforgettable experience. Not only do you get to witness the incredible teamwork and connection between the dogs, but it’s also a magical way to explore nature. Gliding through the landscape with only the sound of paws on snow creates a sense of peace that’s hard to describe—something you simply have to feel for yourself. 🐾❄️

Rainy days in Bergen just hit different 🌧️✨
We embraced the weather with a trip up Fløyen, soaking in the misty views, and topped it all off with a fantastic afternoon tea ☕🍰

Honestly, the perfect way to spend a Sunday in Bergen 💙

Winter still lingers in Bergen, but today the temperatures have risen above zero — and we can truly feel the sun warming our faces.

After an incredible journey through fjords and crisp winter landscapes, we created a quiet moment to simply pause. Delicious snacks, fine drinks, and uninterrupted views — the kind of luxury that lies in stillness, in silence, in space to breathe.
As the afternoon light softened, we gathered by a crackling fire along the shoreline, letting the warmth return while the sea lay calm before us.
There’s a subtle shift in the air now. Spring is approaching, and soon the extraordinary blossom in Hardanger will transform the landscape into a living masterpiece — a spectacle that feels almost too beautiful to be real.
The seasons are changing, and we are ready. 🌿✨

A winter arrival by horse sledge.
Snow falling softly through the forest.

Lysebo Hotel appears quiet, timeless, waiting.
A winter palace where history lives in every detail.

As evening settles, dinner at the historic Frognersæteren.
Centuries of stories, candlelight, and Nordic tradition.

This is not just a stay
it’s a journey into winter, heritage, and unforgettable moments.
