In the past days, I’ve been working on a new technique and a new product.

Making a new product, a phone bag, using a new technique: wet molding. It’s a slow, hands-on process where water, pressure, shape, and patience come together to create a clean, structured form.

Each step matters: stitching, soaking, shaping, drying, and finishing. The result is a phone bag shaped to fit your phone perfectly, formed by hand through the wet molding process.

My favourite season. Spring brings more light into the studio, and with it comes new energy and fresh ideas.

It’s my favourite time to work, create, and explore new shapes and concepts. There’s something about this season that makes the whole studio feel more inspiring. This is often where the first spark of a new design begins.

Making my own brass stamp

I’ve wanted to make my own hot foil embossing stamps for my leathercraft for some time, so I gave it a try with my new fiber laser from LaserPecker. I used some old brass I had lying around in my studio to create a NITMOI-branded stamp.

By keeping the engraved negative space small and filing away the excess material, I was able to make a 2 mm deep stamp in under 2 hours using the 20W fiber laser.

I’m often asked to create small batches for special occasions like weddings or business gifts, and this technique allows me to make the stamps myself and offer more high-end, personalized embossing options.

As a designer, I enjoy experimenting with new techniques and materials, as it often leads to inspiration and new designs.
