Tenfeet

Back in the eighties the 'Nederpop' popgroup "Doe Maar" was famous for songs like "Smoorverliefd", "Sinds een dag of twee" or "De Bom". The musical "Doe Maar!" that premiered October 2025 in the AFAS Theatre in Leusden, tells an original story around those songs, performed live by six musicians.

Ayreon is a musicproject by Arjen Lucassen with an album called "The Final Experiment" in 1995, which turned out not to be -that- -final-. Now, thirty years later, Ayreon has grown to legendary proportions within the industry with lots of Areonauts (fans), albums and past shows. To celebrate this milestone Tilburg (NL) turned into Areon-city for a week with anniversary concerts in the 013.

While Arjen writes the music, an army of musicians join him on stage to bring the music to life. From the more than 140 musicians that were part of the project, Anneke van Giersbergen, Damian Wilson, Robert Soeterboek, Wudstik and many more performed a selection of songs from past albums. Each album has its own narative, ranging from timetravel to spacetravel, so sampling from all those stories made for a packed show.

Pim had been part of the creative team for the 013 shows the past years and came back to the Tenfeet studio to Previz his lighting design.
Arjen, Lori, Joost and Fjorf joined us in the studio.
Dave worked on the Pixera Mediaservers, sequencing the content.
Sam joined to learn the ropes.

This Pixera system was a two machine setup: In FOH one server was used for showcontrol, timeline, sACN and LTC input, and specific controls from the 'control'-webUI. Connected through just one CAT cable the second machine was backstage, outputting the video feeds directly to the LED processors.

As the days get shorter, the churchshows-season has started again.

Genesis tells the story of the start of existence, including light, water, earth and plants. This time in the monastery slash church St. Anna in Augsburg.

We helped our friends form Okula to set up and calibrate the disguise system.

About last weekend: This year we brought an even bigger crew to the Lowlands Festival, to do Previz to help LDs advance their lighting shows, hosting and operating lighting rigs and run mediaservers for band visuals and festival signage.

The festival was based on the MA3 platform, but we've welcomed anything from Chamsys, Hog and Avolites to MA2.. For mediaservers we brought Hippotizers.

The Crew
LDs were welcomed in the Tenfeet Previz Trailer with their rigs already set up in Depence or Wysiwyg by Remco and Sander.
The Alpha was hosted and operated by Erik-Jan.
Pim hosted and operated lighting and mediaserver in the Bravo during the day.
During the nights in the Bravo, when they turned on Freek Ros' ( ) massive moving-lights moving-ceiling rig, Thomas worked his MA3 magic with William H.
The Heineken was hosted and operated by William and Stefan.
Dave hosted the mediaservers in the India and the X-ray, and did this social media stuff.
