Can you skate on sunshine? ☀️⛸️
Over the past five days, visitors in Amsterdam experienced exactly that at De Zomerijsbaan: a unique project by artist and designer Rosalie Apituley, fully powered by local solar energy from the roof of the Olympic Stadium.
We are proud to have contributed to this remarkable initiative, which brings together ice skating, renewable energy and public engagement in a completely new way.

🎥 From Water to Royal Ice!
For this unique project in Dokkum (the Netherlands), an ice rink was built directly on the water, right along the route of the royal visit during King's Day. A temporary installation, designed and delivered within a tight timeframe, bringing a winter experience to Dokkum in the middle of Spring.
A great collaboration with all partners involved, resulting in an unforgettable setting for both visitors, the Dutch Royal Family and the event itself! 👑⛸️

A brief recap of the past few days working on a truly special project! 👑
We had the privilege of delivering an ice rink with a royal touch: a floating installation, built right in the middle of a canal at the iconic turning point in Dokkum, The Netherlands.
Projects like these highlight what is possible when creativity, precision, and teamwork come together in unique environments.
A big thank you to our dedicated team, the event organizers, the city of Dokkum, and everyone involved in making this project a success.
And of course, our appreciation to the Dutch Royal family for bringing this special moment to life on the ice!
A special shipment is on its way to Chile! ❄️
In June, Ice-World will deliver an impressive ice slide project featuring 12 large-scale ice slides. A complex shipment that required careful planning and precision loading by our warehouse team.
The containers are now en route and we’ll be sharing more once the project comes to life on-site. Stay tuned for the final result in June. 🚢
