Happy Earth Day 🌍 — and we have something special to mark it.

Meet Cyclanorbis elegans, the Nubian Flapshell Turtle. Africa's rarest turtle. Thought to be extinct. Rediscovered in 2019. Still Critically Endangered, surviving in remote, unstable regions of western Uganda where habitat loss, hunting, and conflict threaten its future every single day.

Today, we're launching Turtle Island Uganda — and a $15,000 Matching Gift Challenge to go with it. Every dollar donated between now and World Turtle Day (May 23) will be matched. That means your gift does double the work: funding field surveys, community outreach, and the foundations of a future assurance colony.
