From... *STUCK*... to ➡️... *SUCCESS* !! 🎸✨️💫

The first time Emad came to the studio he already could play some guitar, but was really 'stuck', and could not 'express his feelings' on his guitar.

After about 1 year of guitar lessons his "TRANSFORMATION" automatically happened in a special moment...

While at his 2nd Live blues guitar workshop... he suddenly started 'feeling' the blues,... and effortlessly started 'expressing' his feelings through the guitar (and totally forgot about his surroundings... experiencing total musical bliss... 😄😊😅👌).

So, nowadays when he has like a bad day at work, and/or he feels he wants to express his feelings, he just grabs his guitar and starts jamming with a backingtrack and immediately feels better.

Now he really knows how to improvise on his guitar and gets compliments from his (musician) friends about his greatly improved playing and improvisations.

Last few days improvising over a fusion/rock backing track by Guthrie Govan ('Wave').

While practicing, trying to come up with some new melodies, more interesting riffs & lick ideas 🎶

I was using & combining different 🎸solo and improvisation techniques... such ➡️ IMPROVISATION BOOSTERS ⬅️... like: 👇

- Two Pentatonic scale-box approach/combination
- Chromatic (John Petrucci inspired) lick ideas 💡
- Combining fast(er) + slow(er) runs 🏃‍♂️
- My 'nail-sliding' technique 💅
- Register Changes (back and forth, from Lower sounding notes to Higher sounding notes, plus fretboard areas)
- Creating 'catchy' riffs/licks
- Developing melancholic, hopeful and/or happy melodies
- Playing with or without a plectrum
- Using and holding my index finger like a plectrum, for fast playing & quicker multi-fingers (hybrid) transition
- Using double-stops, forward/backwards slides, (unison) bends, downward picking, alternate picking etc. etc.

The more of these kinds of things/techniques ("IMPROVISATION BOOSTERS") you use during your guitar solos or improvisations, the cooler/more fascinating (and therefore ultimately less boring) and much more exciting you will find it for yourself (plus for others who are listening to you) 💡😍👍
