We’re pleased to share that the Phase II Jury Review of the Shanghai Central Urban Belt International Urban Design Competition took place in November 2025, marking an important step in shaping the next phase of Shanghai’s urban development.

As lead designer of the North Section team, presented a proposal focused on innovation, resilience, and urban vitality, combining international design expertise with a deep understanding of local context.

Project details and physical models are now on display at SUSAS 2025 (Shanghai Urban Space Art Season) on Fuxing Island. The exhibition opens this week and runs until December 13. Visitors and design professionals are welcome to explore the ideas shaping Shanghai’s future.

How can we make the world's biggest garden city more resilient to the effects of climate change and other hazards?

This is the question we are asking ourselves in our work for the State of Kerala in South-western India with it's one of a kind urban fabric.

It is great to work with knowledgable colleagues and the many different officers involved in urban development and learn from each other when jointly working towards ambitious, yet realistic and implementable solutions.
