Rotec Composite Group

Rotec composite group presents the GRP Backing Ring. It is a Glassfiber Reinforced Vinylester (GRV) product made through Resin Transfer Molding (RTM). It is corrosion resistant and a high-performance product that is suitable for both thermoplastic and thermoset pipe systems. Compared to stainless steel alloys, a composite backing ring is lighter in weight. In addition, it comes in specific diameters to fit the dimensions of PE, PP, PVC and GRP stub flanges. The inside diameter can be modified as per customer requirements.

Generally, the standard flanges are available from the nominal diameter DN 200 up to DN 3000 mm with the different drilling standards such as EN 1092, ASA, ANSI, JIS, AWWA and AS 4087. To complete the full diameter range, DN 25 up to DN 300 Backing Rings are available in SMC, made by compression molding.
