Flying Dutchmen Cocktails is looking for a part-time bartender to join our team! We offer an all-round bartender position. Every team member is a host, server, barback & bartender.

We are looking for someone who:
• is a team player with hospitality at heart
• has a ‘yes we can’ mentality
• wants to grow their classic cocktail knowledge
• is comfortable with late-night shifts (17:00–04:00h)
• speaks English (Dutch is a plus)

Signing all official paperwork for my business split from Timo today. A double feeling. The end of an era, and a bittersweet goodbye to Dutch Courage: the first bar concept I dreamt off. Our genever-focused cocktail bar at Zeedijk.

There have been many ups and downs with this bar. From property owners pulling back, to signing the papers just before covid hit, going through the pandemic with three full nationwide hospitality lockdowns, coming out as a struggling startup two years later.

However, the decision to part ways with Timo turned out to be the right one. We had a good ride together but we’d run out of steam. Since our split in June, I’ve felt my creativity return, waking up every morning excited to get back to work. Good things are happening with Flying Dutchmen Cocktails and Belly of the Beast. Positive energy is flowing.

And looking at the future, there are so many wonderful things in store for Flying Dutchmen Cocktails and Belly of the Beast. Will tell you all about it after my maternity leave.

But first, let me be a little melancholic about saying ‘bye’ to Dutch Courage. The bar that just wasn’t meant to be for me. Genever and Dutch Courage will forever have my heart 💙
