Last week, we had the pleasure of presenting some of our stories from New York at the 'Resilient City café'. This event was made possible by Waterschap Vechtstromen, University of Twente and Stichting Pioneering.
During the day, we discussed how both the Netherlands and New York are working on becoming more resilient to extreme weather events, and how the Twente region could benefit from these efforts.

Today we had a pre-departure meeting during which both teams presented their research topics and progress. Theo Toonen, the dean of the Behavioural Management and Social Sciences (BMS) faculty and various staff members from University of Twente as well Stefan Nijwening from the Waterschap Vechtstromen (Water Authority Vechtstromen) provided us with helpful feedback!
