I've never seen trees, plants, water, and natural elements as decoration.
To me, they are materials.
They create a sense of grounding that is difficult to replicate with manufactured materials alone. They shape the embodied experience of a place. How we move through it, how we connect to it, and ultimately how it makes us feel.
Perhaps that's why some of my favourite design conversations happen outdoors.
