We are proud to share that Perth Museum, has received the BIG SEE Make Sense Architecture Award 2026 in the Cultural Buildings category.

The transformation of Perth’s former City Hall into a vibrant cultural destination celebrates the building’s rich heritage while creating a welcoming place for visitors and the local community. Designed around connection, discovery and storytelling, the museum provides a new home for the Stone of Destiny and offers an engaging experience that links Scotland’s past with its future.

This recognition highlights the value of preserving cultural heritage through contemporary design and demonstrates how historic buildings can be reimagined for future generations.

Architectural models tell the story of a city in transformation.

Mecanoo is participating in 'From Model to Metropolis: Amsterdam’s Urban Story 1986–2026', the new exhibition at Arcam Architectuurcentrum Amsterdam exploring four decades of urban development in Amsterdam through architectural models and future visions.

Our contribution includes the models for Brink Tower and De Nederlandsche Bank, two projects that reflect different yet connected ambitions for the city: creating more inclusive urban living and opening institutions back to the public realm.

From realised transformations to future developments, the exhibition reveals how architecture, policy, and public life continue to shape Amsterdam’s evolving identity.
