Everyone runs focused on the self. We trade our humanity for commodities, trying everyday to optimize our happiness. We, people, have plenty of labels like ingredients on a product laying on a shelf ready to be consumed. The expiration date is subjective to the consumer. Crisis are popping up like cold sores but we are too busy blinded by daily life seeking individual happiness.🙂💀

I started working on this sculpture in the winter of 2019. At the time I was living in Hilversum, there I met Giel Clijsters, Dutch sculptor, and started sculpting on and off in his studio. It took me more than 160 hours to realize this artwork , I finished it in September 2023.

I sold it a month ago to a collector in the Philippines. I met him while working as a bartender, somewhere at the beginning of 2019. I used to show my sketchbook to every person at the bar who was interested in my story, and he really liked my work. He introduced me to his daughter, now a really good friend of mine. She kept us in contact, printed my first business cards, made and edited videos for my socials and kept showing him my progress as an artist. Thanks to those little gestures and some hard work now my baby is in Manila.
