🌏✈️ Discovering Amsterdam with History and Joy! 🌟 Ready to be inspired by a trip full of culture? 🖼️

Did you know that the city of Amsterdam is a mosaic of history, art, and contemporary culture? A few days ago, Mario and Gianna arrived from the enchanting region of Puglia, Italy, and together we explored two magical days that they won't forget in the city of Amsterdam.

🕍 *Day 1: Jewish Quarter and the Historic Center*
We immersed ourselves in centuries of history, walking through the Jewish Quarter and the historic heart of this incredible city. Mario and Gianna were fascinated by the stories of resilience and the architecture that tells tales of bygone eras. Did you know that every corner of the historic center is an open book of the Dutch Golden Age?

🍴 To recharge, we enjoyed a break at De Staalmeesters restaurant, a place with local charm and delicious flavors. Simply unforgettable!

As night fell… 🚤🌙 a beautiful illuminated cruise along the city's iconic canals. Nothing surpasses the tranquility you feel while sailing among lights and reflections on the water.

🎨 *Day 2: Museum Quarter and the impressive Van Gogh Museum*
Art came alive as you discovered the inspiring works of Vincent Van Gogh and learned about his fascinating life. We walked among brushstrokes and were swept away by his vibrant colors—an experience that will stay with you forever!
Van Gogh, one of the world's most influential geniuses. 🎨 Did you know that Van Gogh created more than 900 paintings in just one decade?
Then, we ended the day in a charming little spot: Bagels & Beans 🥯☕. On the terrace overlooking the canal, amidst laughter and anecdotes, we enjoyed a refreshing drink while the sun reflected on the water. Simple yet unforgettable moments.

☀️ These two days were filled with learning, laughter, and special moments. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with friends, Amsterdam has something for everyone! 😍 📸

🎉🌍 *5 years ago, a step towards historical reflection and collective healing* 🌍🎉

July 1st marks a date of profound historical and cultural significance. In 2021, Mayor Halsema offered an official apology for the city council's role in the more than 300 years of the slave trade and slavery. This apology coincides with Keti Koti, the festival commemorating the abolition of slavery in Suriname and the Dutch Caribbean.

✨ *What is Keti Koti?* ✨
Keti Koti, literally "Broken Chains," is much more than a festival: it is a time to remember, reflect, and celebrate resilience and freedom. During this day, the streets are filled with music, vibrant dance, educational talks, and a stunning traditional parade honoring Afro-Caribbean roots, resilience, and culture.

This historic festival not only commemorates the breaking of physical chains, but also symbolizes the path towards equality and justice. It's an opportunity for all of us to learn and keep historical memory alive. 📸
💭 **It's your turn:** Were you aware of the symbolic power of Keti Koti? What does reflecting on this part of history mean to you? Share your thoughts in the comments and help us keep the dialogue alive about our shared history.
