The Balikbayan Collective

The Balikbayan Collective (TBBC) is for the children of the Filipino diaspora. 🌐 In TBBC, the balikbayan goes beyond a person who has physically returned to the Motherland. It is anyone acting on the call against disconnection and walking towards (be)longingness and (re)rooting.

Through decolonized resources and re-indigenized community spaces, we co-create the tools for collective liberation.

We facilitate online and on-ground gatherings (Manila & Amsterdam) monthly, and build up digital resources as we go. 🦋 In an act of reclamation of voices and stories, we invite your stories and hopes to be shared. 🤲🏽
