In zijn werk onderzoekt Carlo de verrassende parallellen tussen ontwerp en complottheorieën. Waar design doorgaans wordt gezien als een middel om te verhelderen en te ordenen, laat hij zien dat het soms dezelfde mechanismen gebruikt als desinformatie en dat beide werelden elkaar spiegelen. Zijn presentatie op IDC25 verkent hoe visuele logica, overtuiging en narratief samenkomen in een tijd waarin waarheid steeds meer een ontwerpkeuze lijkt.

Carlo explores the surprising parallels between design and conspiracy theories.While design is often seen as a way to clarify and reveal the truth, his work shows how it can also mirror the logic of misinformation, using similar tools of persuasion, structure, and storytelling. At IDC25, he explores how design and conspiracy theories mirror each other and how truth itself can be a matter of design.
