Use your failures to guide your success
Everybody has failure.

How you respond to that failure is what determines your success.

Thomas Edison failed 10,000 times when he was inventing the lightbulb.

Even if that number is an exaggeration and he only failed 100 times, that's still a lot of failure to endure.

When asked about failure he replied that he hadn't failed.

He'd found hundreds of ways that it doesn't work.

Learning what doesn't work can be just as valuable as learning what doesn't.

When you fail do you give up and stop trying?

Or do you learn what you can from the failure and reiterate?

The road to success isn't linear, but more of a zig zag or a squiggle.

It's easy to give up when things don’t go your way.

It's painful to lose. That's why so few people can tolerate it.

On the other side of your failure is a gateway to success.

But you have to endure the failure long enough to reach that gateway

Balance what's important
No doubt you need focus and attention to be successful.

It takes time and energy to become great at what you do.

Execute aggressively on your objectives.

While your one burning desire is your priority, you still have other areas of your life you need to attend to.

You have your health and your relationships.

Occasionally you need to relax and take some time to reset yourself.

This is a hard thing for an over achiever to accomplish.

They're so focused on the task everything else is excluded from awareness.

Having balance in your life keeps you grounded.

Do what you gives you meaning
Successful people know the value of time.

You only have so much time.

It's a crazy thought that you would spend that limited amount of time doing what you don't enjoy.

If you’re doing something you don’t like and it doesn't give you pleasure its time to change.

It doesn't mean to say that every day working on your purpose is a bed of roses.

Challenge and setbacks are par for the course.

But your overarching goals and objectives must be meaningful to you.
